Account Data | In directive to use certain features (like registering in a course), you need to generate a user account. When you generate or update your account, we assemble and store the data you offer, like your email address, password, gender, and date of birth, and allot you a unique identifying number (“Account Data”). |

Instructor Payment Data | If you are an instructor, you can tie your PayPal or another payment account to the Services to obtain payments. When you bond a payment account, we gather and use certain information, including your payment account email address, account ID, physical address, or other data essential for us to send payments to your account. In order to fulfill appropriate laws, we also work with trusted third parties who collect tax information as lawfully required. This tax information may include residency information, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other personal information necessary for taxation purposes. For security, Gurukol does not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The collection, use, and disclosure of your payment, billing, and taxation data are subject to your payment account provider's privacy policy and other terms. |
Data About Your Accounts on Other Services | We may obtain certain information through your social media or other online accounts if they are connected to your Gurukol account. If you log in to Gurukol via Facebook or another third-party platform or service, we ask for your permission to access certain information about that other account. For instance, depending on the platform or service, we may gather your name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address, location, the physical location of your access devices, gender, birthday, and list of friends or contacts. Those platforms and services make material accessible to us through their APIs. The information we collect depends on what information you (via your privacy settings) or the platform or service choose to give us. If you access or use our Services through a third-party platform or service or click on any third-party links, the gathering, use, and allocation of your data will also be subject to the privacy policies and other arrangements of that third party. |
Sweepstakes, Promotions, and Surveys | We may invite you to fill out a survey or partake in a promotion (like a contest, sweepstakes, or challenge), either through the Services or a third-party platform. If you partake, we will gather and store the data you offer as parts of participating, such as your name, email address, date of birth, or phone number. Your password is a significant part of our safety system, and it is your duty to protect it. We know the privacy interests of children and reassure parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online actions and interests. Children below 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area) must not use the Services. If we learn that we’ve composed personal data from a child under those ages, we will take rational steps to delete it.

Most importantly, per the CCPA, Gurukol does not sell your personal information or the personal information of any of our users.
As a California occupant, you also have the right to demand certain details about what private information we share with third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. Since the internet business is still working on Do Not Track standards, explanations, and operations, we do not presently recognize or reply to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals.
Gurukol. is headquartered in Virginia, and in order to provide the Services to you, we must transfer your data to the United States and process it there. If you are using the Services from outside the United States, you approve the handover, storage, and handling of your data in and to the United States or other countries. Specifically, personal data collected in the United Kingdom (“UK”), Switzerland, and the European Economic Area (“EEA”) is transferred and stored outside those areas. Additionally, if you are located in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data supervisory authority. By submitting your data or using our Services, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing by Gurukol and its processors.
From interval to interval, we may upgrade this Privacy Policy. If we make any substantial change to it, we will alert you via email, through a notification posted on the Services, or as obligatory by appropriate law. We will also include a summary of the key changes. Unless stated otherwise, alterations will become operative on the day they are posted.
